As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to reports, document activity, and deliver customer-focused communication to employees, contractors, and visitors. Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, yards, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, gates, and restricted areas; verify authorization and direct visitors and deliveries according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including receiving alarm notifications and coordinating communication with site contacts and/or first responders as directed.
• Prepare clear, timely documentation such as incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol observations, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and site management.
