About The Position

As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol in Montgomery, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet and assist tenants and visitors, communicate clearly, and document observations to support site operations. Requirements

• Have at least 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• This is primarily a driving post.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, parking areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access control points and observe building activity, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and/or potential hazards to the appropriate contacts per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance as directed and requesting additional resources when needed.
• Complete detailed reports and logs for patrols, incidents, and daily activities, and communicate clearly with on-site personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
