Job Description As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol Driver in Waterloo, IA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams while delivering outstanding customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license, supported by Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

• Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and the exterior perimeter, reporting unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns per post orders.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, and delivery drivers, assisting with visitor processing and directing traffic flow as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarm activations, medical events, and policy violations, and notify Allied Universal supervision and site leadership as required.
• Complete detailed shift documentation, including patrol activity, incident reports, and daily logs, and support investigations by preserving observations and coordinating with local responders when requested.
