About The Position

As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol Driver in Palmdale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail mall location, completing routine vehicle and foot patrols and staying highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. As a driving post, you will operate a company vehicle, communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and assist shoppers and tenants with professional customer service. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail property.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, corridors, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or hazard concerns for reporting.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disturbances, medical situations, and/or policy violations, and requesting law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and tenant activity to help to deter theft, trespassing, loitering, and/or disorderly conduct while supporting a positive shopping environment.
• Document patrols, incidents, and irregular conditions using written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
