About The Position

As a Security Officer - Neighborhood Rover Patrol in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and respond to concerns with strong customer service. Requirements

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to the client by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site contacts and public responders as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of facilities, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor and respond to alarms, access control points, and visitor check-in processes, verifying credentials and documenting entries and exits in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, including observations from patrols, maintenance or hazard concerns, and any policy violations, and communicate updates to supervisors and site personnel.
