As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, support access control as needed, and deliver strong customer service through clear communication with shoppers and store teams. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. Bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to store associates, mall management, and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter theft, loitering, and other unwanted activity.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disruptive behavior, suspected shoplifting, medical situations, and fire or alarm activations.
Monitor entrances, exits, stockroom or receiving areas, and high-traffic shopping zones, reporting suspicious activity and completing required documentation.
Coordinate with on-site teams and local authorities as needed, assist with access control and key control per post orders, and support opening and closing procedures when assigned.
