As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, support access control as needed, and deliver strong customer service through clear communication with shoppers and store teams. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. Bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to store associates, mall management, and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter theft, loitering, and other unwanted activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disruptive behavior, suspected shoplifting, medical situations, and fire or alarm activations.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, stockroom or receiving areas, and high-traffic shopping zones, reporting suspicious activity and completing required documentation.
  • Coordinate with on-site teams and local authorities as needed, assist with access control and key control per post orders, and support opening and closing procedures when assigned.
