Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail distribution center and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Observe entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, unauthorized access, and/or suspicious behavior.
- Document and report any incidents, observations, or irregularities according to Allied Universal guidelines and client requirements.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required.
- Support emergency response efforts, including guiding employees and visitors during evacuations or other critical events.
- Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff members to provide information and assistance as needed.
