As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns with calm communication and strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will support a welcoming environment while documenting activity, assisting guests and store teams, and representing Allied Universal with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A guard card/license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail mall location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, medical calls, and/or property-related concerns, and escalating to law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, concourses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards and/or maintenance issues.
Monitor access points, service corridors, and restricted areas, verifying credentials and/or authorizations per site policy and documenting any policy violations.
Complete detailed reports for incidents, patrol observations, and customer interactions, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site management as required.
