About The Position

As a Security Officer - Retail Perimeter Patrol in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and respond to alarms as needed, while providing professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance, disorderly conduct, medical events, and fire alarms.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales floors, common areas, stock rooms as permitted, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards.
Monitor entrances, exits, and delivery areas, verifying authorized access, observing for suspicious behavior and/or potential theft, and coordinating with store management and/or local law enforcement as needed.
Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
