You will support access control points, assist employees and visitors with clear communication, and document observations with professionalism. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
A guard card and/or security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization as required, and direct guests to appropriate check-in or waiting areas in accordance with site procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site contacts and/or public emergency services when needed.
Document patrol findings, incidents, and service calls in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant updates to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
