As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support store teams and guests with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and guests in a retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including handling disorderly conduct, disruptive behavior, and suspected theft concerns in accordance with post orders.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors, stock areas, entrances, exits, and the parking perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Monitor store activity for unusual behavior that may help to deter loss and/or policy violations, and document observations and actions in daily activity reports and incident reports.
Communicate with onsite management and/or local law enforcement as needed, assist with access control at employee-only areas, and support opening and closing procedures as directed.
