Job Description As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol in Amarillo, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with guests and staff, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order at the location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas within the location to help to deter theft and unauthorized access.
- Document security-related incidents and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and client representatives as required.
- Assist visitors, employees, and/or customers with directions and general information while maintaining a visible presence.
- Follow all post orders and instructions specific to the location to support a secure environment.
