About The Position

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Friendswood, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming atmosphere. Your presence and attentive customer service will help to support a secure environment for customers and staff. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling assigned areas by vehicle while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols within the retail environment.
Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, and verifying credentials as required by site procedures.
Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and local authorities as needed.
Complete detailed and accurate reports on daily activities, incidents, and irregularities observed during assigned shifts.
