As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Bloomington, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a retail environment, you will conduct regular patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols and communication methods.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe and report any unusual conditions or incidents.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted behaviors within the retail environment.
- Document and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related activities according to site procedures and Allied Universal standards.
- Assist with access control and/or crowd management as needed, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential issues.
- Collaborate with site management and local law enforcement as directed during incidents or emergency situations.
