About The Position

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a retail environment, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the location. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. You will engage with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns.
Assist with crowd control and/or access control during busy periods or special events as needed.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members regarding security-related matters.
Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal's protocols and client requirements.
