As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support guests and store teams with professional customer service. You will conduct routine rounds, observe and report unusual activity, and communicate clearly with site leadership. Requirements

• Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Have X-Ray screening experience preferred.
• Have loss prevention experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, and/or staff while carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disturbances, medical calls, and/or property concerns per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, common areas, service corridors, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards.
• Monitor entrances, loading areas, and other assigned access points; observe for policy violations; and direct guests and/or vendors to the appropriate resources.
• Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
