As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a retail or mall location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the property. You will interact with visitors and tenants, provide exceptional customer service, and promptly communicate any concerns. This role also involves driving responsibilities, supporting our commitment to reliability, teamwork, and putting people first in every interaction.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the retail location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting customers and staff as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted behaviors within the retail environment.
Document and report any security-related incidents or suspicious activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits as required by site procedures.
Support emergency response activities and coordinate with local authorities when appropriate.
