About The Position
As a Security Officer - Retail Lobby Attendant in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a bustling retail or mall location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and tenants. Your role involves greeting guests, monitoring access, and providing exceptional customer service while helping to deter security-related incidents. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
- Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials for entry as required.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
- Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site procedures.
- Assist with visitor management, including issuing visitor passes and maintaining visitor logs.
- Maintain a professional and approachable presence while addressing inquiries from visitors, tenants, and staff.
- Support Allied Universal in helping to deter unauthorized activity at the location by remaining alert and attentive at the front desk.
