As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a retail location, you will support access control by greeting visitors, managing badge access, and monitoring entry points to help reduce security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication and customer service. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Manage access control at entrances and restricted areas by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining entry logs, and directing guests to the appropriate locations.
- Monitor CCTV, alarm panels, and/or other access control systems, and report irregular activity in accordance with post orders and escalation procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting onsite management and/or public emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, corridors, storefront perimeters, and parking areas, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
