As an Allied Universal Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will manage access control, greet associates and visitors, verify credentials, and help direct foot traffic to support smooth daily operations. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols nearby, document incidents, and communicate clearly with store leadership. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and shoppers by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail or mall location.
  • Support access control by monitoring entrances and exits, assisting with visitor and vendor sign-in and/or badge processes, and helping to maintain authorized access to back-of-house and restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical calls, disturbances, suspicious activity, and lost children procedures per site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store and/or common areas, including sales floor, receiving areas, parking lots, and perimeter, noting and reporting unusual conditions and security-related concerns.
  • Complete reports and logs for incidents, access activity, and patrol observations, and communicate timely updates to supervisors, client representatives, and/or local authorities as needed.
