About The Position

As a Security Officer - Retail Driving Patrols in Federal Way, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents at a vibrant retail and mall location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to support a secure environment, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to visitors and tenants. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the retail or mall location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall premises and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or site management.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits and verifying credentials as required by site policies.
Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergencies by following established protocols and facilitating communication with emergency responders as needed.
