As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entry points and patrol assigned retail locations to help deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff. You will interact with visitors, provide outstanding customer service, and utilize technology to manage access. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with access control procedures at the retail location, verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points for authorized personnel and visitors.
Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity by maintaining a visible presence at designated access control points.
Provide customer service to clients and guests by following site-specific security-related procedures and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site guidelines.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to observe and report any irregularities or security-related concerns.
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site-specific policies.
Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations or other procedures outlined in site emergency plans.
