About The Position

As a Security Officer - Retail Access Control Full-Time in Sparrows Point, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age for this role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access points at the retail location to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or exit.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with access-related inquiries and following site-specific procedures.
Carry out security-related procedures in accordance with site policies, including visitor and employee identification checks.
Respond to incidents and critical situations within the retail environment in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and observe for unusual conditions.
Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
Assist with emergency response activities as directed by site-specific procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
