About The Position

As a Security Officer - Retail Access Control in Fort Myers, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a retail mall environment, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the retail mall location.
Monitor and control access points, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals as part of access control responsibilities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Document and report all incidents, observations, and irregularities according to Allied Universal guidelines.
Collaborate with mall management and local authorities as needed during emergency response activities.
Assist with crowd management and provide directions or information to shoppers and visitors when requested.
