About The Position

As a Security Officer - Retail Access Attendant in Plant City, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal team member assigned to an access control post in a retail distribution environment, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points and conducting routine patrols throughout the location. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity.
Assist with controlling and documenting the movement of vehicles and/or deliveries at entry and exit points.
Communicate professionally with visitors, staff, and vendors to address inquiries or provide directions as needed.
Complete required reports and logs accurately, documenting observations and actions taken during the shift.
