Job Description As a Security Officer - Resort Lobby Desk in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a premier hotel and resort location, you will be the first point of contact for guests and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while monitoring entry points and responding to security-related situations. You will help to deter incidents through your professional presence and communication, all while exemplifying Allied Universal’s commitment to teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk of the location.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification of individuals entering or exiting the property, helping to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating appropriate emergency response activities when necessary.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Assist guests and staff with inquiries and provide general information about the location and its amenities while maintaining a professional presence at the front desk.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure environment for all occupants and visitors.
