Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential location.
  • Control access at entrances by verifying identification, managing visitor and vendor check-in and/or check-out, issuing guest instructions, and directing traffic to designated areas.
  • Monitor cameras, intercoms, and access control systems; document access activity and unusual conditions per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify property management and/or emergency services as required.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, including incident reports, visitor records, and shift activity documentation, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.
