As a Screener in a residential community, you will greet residents and guests, verify access, screen visitors and deliveries, and help manage entry procedures with clear communication and strong customer service. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, and report security-related incidents and concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen and verify pedestrian and vehicle entry at the community entrance using approved check-in steps, resident or guest lists, and identification as required by post orders.
  • Maintain detailed activity logs and reports, including visitor entries, deliveries, incidents, and policy exceptions, and communicate updates to the site supervisor and/or property management as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional support from Allied Universal leadership and/or local responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of community streets, amenities, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or access concerns.
