As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential community, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, document observations, and communicate clearly with residents, guests, and team members while delivering customer-focused support. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, community policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential streets, common areas, amenities, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
• Monitor access points and community traffic, verify authorization when required, and document issues such as gate malfunctions, trespassing concerns, and/or rule violations per site-specific guidelines.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and/or suspicious activity, and coordinate with local public services and/or management as needed.
• Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.
