Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol - Day Shifts in Fort Wayne, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas at a dynamic worksite, completing routine rounds, observing for unusual activity, and documenting security-related concerns. You will stay highly visible to help to deter incidents, provide courteous customer service to employees and visitors, and communicate clearly with site leaders. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the location, including the interior, exterior, perimeter, and parking or staging areas to help to deter unwanted activity.
Monitor access points and help to control entry for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors according to site guidelines.
Remain alert to conditions common to active work locations such as changing traffic patterns, deliveries, and restricted zones, and report concerns through the chain of command.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from emergency services and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
Observe, document, and report suspicious activity, property concerns, and policy violations using detailed written reports and/or electronic reporting tools.
Assist with incident documentation for events such as theft, property damage, trespassing, or disputes, and help to preserve information for follow-up.
Provide directions and general assistance to visitors and personnel while maintaining a professional presence at the location.
Perform routine checks of doors, gates, fences, lighting, and other site conditions, and report maintenance concerns to appropriate contacts.
Communicate clearly with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership via radio, phone, and/or in-person briefings, including shift pass-downs.
