As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a residential community location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will greet residents and guests, respond to requests, document activity, and communicate clearly with your team and community partners. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Have CPR and/or First Aid certification, preferred.
  • Have a Guard Card and/or license, preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential community.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, disturbances, and unauthorized activity to Allied Universal management and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of community grounds, parking areas, perimeter lines, and common areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and community amenities as assigned, assisting with visitor check-in, vendor verification, and access control procedures in accordance with post orders.
  • Complete clear, timely reports and logs, including incident documentation, patrol activity, and resident requests, and communicate pertinent information during shift turnovers.
