Security Officer - Residential Monitor - Full-Time
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Residential Monitor - Full-Time in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will monitor assigned areas and conduct routine patrols while maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to resident and staff concerns, and communicate clearly during day-to-day activity and unexpected events. You will bring integrity and teamwork to every interaction in a caring, people-first culture.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical situations, disturbances, and property-related concerns, and notify appropriate parties as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance and access concerns.
- Control access to the property by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials when required, and documenting visitor and vendor activity in accordance with site requirements.
- Prepare complete and accurate reports of daily activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
