As a Security Officer - Residential Gate Monitor in Deerfield Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entry points and patrol residential areas to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming environment. You will interact with residents and guests, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain a visible presence throughout the location. Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to residential buildings and common areas, verifying identification and granting entry to authorized individuals.
- Provide customer service by assisting residents, guests, and visitors with questions and directions related to the location.
- Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain a secure environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, involving emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to Allied Universal procedures.
- Work collaboratively with property management and/or law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns.
- Remain alert and attentive to surroundings while performing all assigned duties.
