As a Security Officer Residential Gate Access Control in Laguna Niguel, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal in a residential community access control role, where you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and support residents and guests with professional customer service and communication. You will help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity in a people-first culture.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points within the residential community, verify visitor and/or vendor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and other access-related activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with resident concerns, unauthorized entry attempts, and other security-related matters.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, access issues, and/or conditions that may need attention.
• Communicate with residents, property management, and/or emergency personnel regarding community rules, visitor access procedures, and security-related incidents or observations.
