Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a residential location, where you will help manage entry points, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for residents and guests. In this role, you will remain visible, perform routine patrols, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Guided by teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture, you will help support daily operations with a reliable and innovative approach.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting security-related activities as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property, common areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Communicate with residents, property management, and/or emergency services regarding security-related concerns, access issues, and unusual activity.
