Job Description As a Security Officer - Residential Foot Patrol in Cleveland, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond to situations with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordination with on-site staff and/or local public partners.
  • Monitor access points, check identification and/or credentials as required, and help to deter unauthorized entry or restricted-area access.
  • Document patrols, observations, incidents, and policy violations in written reports and logs, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or site representatives.
