Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence at a residential location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, conducting routine patrols, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will play a key role in supporting a secure environment, embracing teamwork, integrity, and our people-first culture while utilizing innovative technology to meet the needs of the community. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Requirements

Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor and control access to the residential location, verifying identification and granting entry to authorized individuals while maintaining visitor logs as required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and assisting as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any unusual conditions.
Observe and report any security-related concerns or violations to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives in accordance with established procedures.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and to provide reassurance to residents and visitors.
Assist with enforcing community rules and regulations as directed by site management and Allied Universal policies.
