As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol residential apartment locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will interact with residents and guests, delivering exceptional customer service and communication while managing access control responsibilities. Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
A guard card or security-related license is preferred.
CPR and/or first aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the residential location, verifying credentials of residents, visitors, and vendors as required by site-specific policies.
Provide customer service by assisting residents and guests with inquiries and directions while maintaining a professional presence.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual activity.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
Support emergency response activities when appropriate, following Allied Universal procedures and client-specific guidelines.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate security-related concerns to management and/or law enforcement as necessary.
