As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will monitor entrances, patrol designated areas, and help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your presence will help create a welcoming environment for residents and guests. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Control access to the residential location by verifying credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
Assist residents, visitors, and guests by providing customer service and answering questions related to access procedures and site-specific protocols.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access or security-related incidents.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal procedures and site-specific guidelines.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to observe for any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client site requirements.
Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency personnel when appropriate, following company and site procedures.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents and foster a sense of security for residents and visitors.
