As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will monitor entrances, patrol designated areas, and help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your presence will help create a welcoming environment for residents and guests. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Control access to the residential location by verifying credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
  • Assist residents, visitors, and guests by providing customer service and answering questions related to access procedures and site-specific protocols.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access or security-related incidents.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal procedures and site-specific guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to observe for any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client site requirements.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency personnel when appropriate, following company and site procedures.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents and foster a sense of security for residents and visitors.
