About The Position

As a Residential Security Officer - Access control in Deerfield Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal at a residential community where you will manage access control, greet residents and guests, verify credentials, and monitor entry points and cameras for security-related concerns. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, document activity, and communicate clearly with residents, visitors, and site leadership. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 or more years of age.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit at the residential location by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining visitor, vendor, and delivery logs.
  • Monitor access points and surrounding areas for unusual activity and/or policy violations, and report concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying appropriate personnel as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
