Job Description As a Security Officer - Residential Access Control - Full Time in San Juan Capistrano, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will monitor entrances, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a visible presence throughout the community. This role is ideal for individuals who excel at communication and enjoy engaging with residents, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and a caring, people-first culture.

Requirements

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents and guests by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor and control access to the residential community, verifying identification and/or credentials of individuals entering the location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or maintenance issues to the appropriate parties.
Work closely with Allied Universal management and community representatives to support a secure and welcoming environment for all residents and visitors.
