As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a residential location, you will help manage entry points, greet residents and guests, confirm authorization, and maintain accurate visitor logs. You will stay visible at key areas, complete routine patrols as needed, respond to alarms and incidents, and communicate clearly with residents, staff, and responders. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $17.75 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Having a state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Having CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
Having customer service experience is preferred.
Having alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Control access at residential entry points by verifying credentials, issuing visitor authorizations, directing deliveries, and documenting entries and exits per site policy.
Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems; report irregular activity and maintenance concerns to the appropriate contact.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and timely notification of Allied Universal supervision and/or site management.
Complete shift reports and incident documentation, including visitor logs, key control records, and access-related activity logs.
