Job Description As a Security Officer - Chemical Plant Patrol in Anacortes, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the site.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or issues.
  • Monitor for unusual or suspicious behavior, reporting observations and/or incidents according to site guidelines.
  • Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors while upholding the standards of Allied Universal.
  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials, and granting entry to authorized personnel as required by site policy.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities in site logs or reports as required.
