About The Position

As a Security Officer - Refinery Patrol Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and requests for assistance. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state and compliance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Bring strong communication, teamwork, and integrity to deliver reliable customer service.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and laboratory location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and public responders as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, research areas, loading and parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and document entries, exits, deliveries, and/or unusual activity in accordance with site requirements.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and maintenance observations, and communicate significant information to supervision during shift turnover.
