About The Position

As a Security Officer - Chemical Site Access Lead in Sulphur, LA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned chemical and petrochemical locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your presence will help maintain a secure environment, and you will interact with visitors and personnel to manage access points. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • One or more of the following is required: at least one year of law enforcement experience, at least two years of security supervisor or manager experience, or at least three years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control measures for personnel and vehicles entering the location.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as required, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management and emergency services as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verifying credentials and/or identification as needed for employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities, security-related breaches, or hazards within the location to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and site contacts.
  • Maintain detailed logs and records of activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by site procedures.
