About The Position

As a Security Officer - Refinery Entry Driver in Mont Belvieu, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location in an access control role, where you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry and exit points, and document activity with clear communication. You will remain highly visible while supporting routine patrols and incident reporting to help reduce security-related issues. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license. You will thrive in a caring, agile team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Guard Card/License - preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Control access at designated entry points by checking identification and/or badges, verifying authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining required entry and exit documentation.
  • Screen vehicles and deliveries entering the location per post orders by confirming delivery appointments, reviewing shipping paperwork, and directing drivers to appropriate check-in and staging areas.
  • Monitor access control systems and security-related alarms, report irregular activity, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing timely, accurate reports and notifying supervision per escalation procedures.
