About The Position

As a Security Officer Reception Desk in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a premier commercial real estate location, you will welcome visitors, manage access, respond to security-related concerns, and provide clear communication and exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Monitor lobby and front desk activity, verify visitor access according to property guidelines, and help to deter unauthorized entry through attentive observation and professional communication.
  • Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and notifying appropriate contacts as needed.
  • Answer questions, provide directions, and support badge, key, and visitor management processes in accordance with property procedures and Allied Universal standards.
  • Maintain a professional presence at the front desk while observing surrounding activity, reporting unusual behavior and/or maintenance concerns that may impact daily operations.
