Job Description As a Security Officer - Reception Desk Coverage in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will welcome guests, manage access control and badging, monitor lobby activity, and assist with security-related inquiries. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, document incidents, and support a positive customer experience. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests at a front desk within a retail location by following site-specific policies, access procedures, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry points and manage visitor, vendor, and contractor check-in and/or check-out, including verifying identification and issuing credentials per site requirements.
  • Answer phones and greet guests, provide directions and general assistance, and escalate service issues to site contacts as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site leadership and/or emergency services when required.
  • Complete required documentation such as shift logs, incident reports, and access records, and report maintenance concerns or suspicious activity to help to deter unwanted activity.
