Job Description As a Security Officer - Reception Desk Clearance Required in Salt Lake City, UT , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at an aerospace and defense location, you will greet employees and visitors, manage access credentials and visitor logs, and monitor entry points and cameras to help reduce security-related incidents. You will coordinate with site teams on badge issues and incident reports, communicate clearly in a professional setting, and represent a caring culture built on integrity, teamwork, and reliability.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and access requirements for an aerospace and defense location.
  • Control access by greeting and screening entrants, verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests to designated areas per site procedures.
  • Monitor security-related alarms, cameras, radios, phones, and/or intercoms from a stationary post, documenting observations and reporting irregular activity to the appropriate contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating site emergency response activities when appropriate and communicating updates to leadership and/or first responders.
  • Complete required logs and reports, maintain front desk records, and support administrative security-related tasks such as key control, badge tracking, and coordinating visitor notifications.
